We will round up a rollercoaster of a 2024/25 campaign against Litherland REMYCA as we also wave goodbye to the Vestacare Stadium.
We come into our final game of the season in some new-found good form, having won our last two games against Pilkington and Ramsbottom United. Last time out, against a high flying Ramsbottom United we were highly impressive, coming away with a 2-1 victory.
The heroes of the night last Friday were James Purfield and Tyler Berry, but Nick Hepple’s efforts must not go unnoticed, brilliant work to provide the assists for both goals against Ramsbottom.
As for our opponents, they currently sit 18th in the league table, having confirmed their place in next season’s NWCFL Premier Division in recent weeks. Last time out, they made the long trip to the Isle of Man and came away with an eye-catching 3-2 win.
When we visited Litherland, earlier in the season, we came away with a 3-1 victory. This victory came after our opponents had experienced a fantastic victory against Bury, who may win the league this weekend.
We expect a difficult challenge tomorrow night as we look to end out our season and our time at this stadium in style but ultimately we look to take our strong momentum and good form into this clash and come away with the three points.
