MATCH PREVIEW: Chaddy Prepare For Padiham

We will look to avenge our defeat from just under a fortnight ago when we welcome Padiham FC to the Vestacare Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

Our mission is to get back to winning ways tomorrow, following our 3-2 defeat to Charnock Richard last time out in the league. We currently sit in 4^th position in the NWCFL Premier Division, as we continue our fight to make the play-offs this season.

To help us with that fight, we have strengthened our squad with the signing of highly talented midfielder Luis Cantello. Luis joins from Bury FC under 23’s where he was awarded Player’s Player of the Season for his efforts during their 2023/24 campaign. We also recently announced the signing of defender Bradley Ditch from Barnoldswick Town who will instantly add some real strength to our backline. 

Although it has never really been a concern for us this season, we have seen ourselves become mathematically safe from relegation this week.

Our opponents, Padiham are fighting in the same battle as us, placed just one position below us with five games in hand, making a win imperative for us tomorrow.

The visitors have been in excellent form, winning their last thirteen fixtures that have been played, including games against teams such as Stockport Town, Glossop North End and ourselves, proving that they will be an incredibly difficult challenge for us.

It will be a slightly later kick-off time tomorrow, beginning at 4pm rather than the traditional 3pm kick-off time. We expect a tough afternoon, but we will stay resilient throughout and hopefully do enough to get over the line.
