MATCH PREVIEW: Chaddy welcome FC Isle of Man to The Vestacare Stadium

Written by Jacob Jones.

Following an enthralling 4-3 away victory against Burscough midweek, our attention turns to the weekend’s fixture against FC Isle of Man.

Tuesday’s man of the match, Matt Barlow described the win as “Without doubt it was the most chaotic first five minutes to a game I’ve ever seen but I felt once we started to get hold of the ball after 20 minutes we was in control of the game.”

We now sit just two points behind top of the league Ramsbottom United as we continue our journey towards promotion.

As for our visitors, they are also flying high in the NWCFL Premier Division, currently sitting fifth in the league table. Last time out they won 3-1 away at Longridge Town, all three goals coming in the first half.

FC Isle of Man manager, Paul Jones told us “So far we’re content with the start to the season we’ve made, once every other team has played all their games, we’ll be somewhere close to where we want to be at the halfway stage”

We travelled to the Isle of Man on the opening day of our 2024/25 league campaign where we played out a hard fought 2-2 draw. Goals from Muis Bibire Bello and a late equaliser from the spot earned us a point from two goals down.

We come into this fixture as the most inform team in the division, having won our last six league matches, however our visitors also find themselves in very strong form having won five of their last six fixtures. Tomorrow’s game promises to be an enthralling one.
